The Wine
The fruit was grown on our Oxley vineyard which with its slightly warmer conditions is ideal for ripening Cabernet Sauvignon in the cool climate of the King Valley. A long growing season allowed the fruit to develop ripe cassis and blackberry flavours. Extended skin contact post fermentation adds complexity to the palate. A style designed for a wide range of foods and can be enjoyed over the next 8 -10 years and beyond.

Winemaking
Fermented in small open fermenters until dry the wine was hand plunged 3 times daily before subtle influence of French oak.

Viticulture
Ripe fresh cassis and herb aromas are backed up by the dense rich blueberry fruit and chocolate flavours on the palate. Fine yet restrained tannins give the wine a robust yet elegant texture. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 10 years.
