Sam Miranda Pinot Noir 2013THIS VINTAGE HAS SOLD OUT!
A variety that continues to mystify me! Displaying a distinctive cherry red hue with bright varietal aromas. The palate is soft and complex with the different winemaking techniques each adding a layer of structure that balances the wine and provides a lingering silky finish. To be enjoyed with savoury meals over the next 5 years.
We had a bit of fun with this fruit! There were 5 different fermentations using a combination of destemed fruit, stalks, and crushed berries, whole bunches and juice runoff. The ferments were treated differently with warmer temperatures to provide a softer structure, colder temperatures to maintain varietal freshness, minimal plunging for less extraction, carbonic maceration for softer fruit flavours.
Sourced from our Myrrhee vineyard. A western sub-branch of the King Valley at an altitude of 380 - 440m above sea level
100% Pinot Noir
